Three Sisters for Three Brothers

Elsie Kannengieser married William Bartholomaus on November 4, 1919. She was 19 years old; he was 25. Among the most interesting tidbits of family lore is the fact that Elsie was the third Kannengieser sister to marry a Bartholomaus brother. Reka Kannengieser had married Heiko Bartholomaus and Grace Kannengieser had married Henry Bartholomaus.

Elsie and William had six children: Martha, Lizzie, Elsie, who were followed by the three boys, William, Dale, and Wayne. Of these children, only Martha and Dale currently survive. All of these children in turn had children, and many of their children have had children.
